KSI has been around for quite some time now and things have changed so much throughout the years. The new upcoming leaders in the community are usually at the root of these changes.

Many people have joined KSI and risen up the ranks. Some of them move on from the community. Some stay with us for a while. The role of CEO has been filled by KSI FuzzyMeep 7 for the past 8 years. It’s one particular position that almost all members know of.

This past summer, it was time for a change. Fuzzy decided to retire from CEO and let KSI progress under a different leader. His second in command, KSI ImPyyy 7, was the standout choice.

Fuzzy’s Feelings

I recently reached out to ImPyyy for some perspective. The goal was to know his own feelings about his new position and learn a bit about him. I got a bonus when KSI FuzzyMeep 7 showed up in the party! It was the perfect opportunity to ask a question.

“How do you feel about passing on the CEO reigns to ImPyyy?”

Fuzzy said “I have had it in my mind for 2 years that I was going to retire. I felt really good about it right up until the moment I was announcing my retirement then I shed a little tear. He (ImPyyy) has come a long way, so I definitely feel very comfortable with him taking over.”

The Interview

As I spoke with ImPyyy, I could easily tell how much he cared about KSI and how passionate he was. His replies were very methodical and well thought out. It was refreshing to get a good sense of how our new CEO feels in his position and what we have to look forward to.

I asked the question, “How do you feel about being the new CEO of KSI?”

He replied,A?“This is a big responsibility. First role switch since 2011 and I have big shoes to fill. Honestly, I am not too worried about it. I am just going to continue to be my own person and lead in a way that is my own.”

I also asked him when he last held a Clan Ops rank and what his favorite game was.

His answers were,A?“I held a Clan Ops rank last in April of 2014 when I was a Senior director. And IA?only play Rocket League. Maybe the occasional COD. I spend a lot of my time watching Twitch. At some point in my career KSI became the game.”

In Closing

I asked ImPyyy if he could pass on a piece of knowledge to the new faces of KSI. This is the inspirational statement he gave:

“One of the best things that can come out of KSI is you building on your social abilities and learning about yourself. Don’t put a boundary on where you can go. A great example is this one kid I came into KSI with. The guy was depressed and anti-social. Through KSI he found himself a girlfriend and even joined sports teams. These are the best gifts that this community can give you. Gaming is always fun but the memories are what you can take with you forever. KSI can help you find yourself. Everyone has equal opportunity. Regardless of race, age or culture.”
