Motivation is very important to success! What motivates you?
What is motivation?
According to Google, the definition of motivation is: The general desire or willingness of someone to do something.
For many people, this word has different meanings because we all have our own motivations. Positive attitudes are infectious!
Motivation within KSI
Do you remember what it felt like when you first joined KSI, when you got your first recruit, or your first officer promotion? Were you excited? Did you feel like you could take on the world? Do you carry those feelings with you throughout all of your KSI activities?
Like all aspects of life, motivation works its’ way in from the top. If you are psyched and you are getting recruits and they hear that excitement, they will maintain that level of excitement most of the time.
So now would be when you would ask yourself: What motivates me? Is it helping or inspiring other people? Is it moving up the ranks and making more of an impact on your peers? Or is it knowing that your name is known throughout your squad, division, or even all of KSI?
Find that reason and expend from there!
Motivational KSI Things
There are many, many talented leaders and people throughout this community. Learning from those leaders is exciting in and of itself. For myself, the people who have motivated me by teaching me are our very own CEO and COO, KSI FuzzyMeep 7 and KSI Impyyy 7, respectively.
Departments within KSI not only teach members real-life information, such as graphic design or news article writing, but reach out to the entire community, bringing everyone together with information and competition. Therefore, being a part of these departments is exciting, enlightening, and eye opening if given the opportunity.
Most people throughout KSI feel as though their squad or division is family. I personally see my Co-Heads of News and History, KSI Guyy 77 and KSI Widow 7 like family, seeing as we consistently squabble like siblings.
Furthermore, not only are our leaders talented and knowledgeable, but also really great people outside of all of that. The family atmosphere that we provide allows members to be comfortable, yet also challenged.
Depending on how high up the ranks you have been, or currently are, you may have experienced the thrill of encouraging someone’s KSI gamertag change or their decision to become an officer. These two happenings are some of the most popular and thrilling moments as a KSI member. There is much pride to be taken in both of those occurrences.
In all honesty, there are so many things in this community that can be used as a tool for motivation. You just have to find them for yourself!
Conclusion
Do you want to impact your squad or division more than you already do? Find your motivation and grow it. Joy can be found in even the smallest things, so feed off of that positive energy and those around you will see the change!
