Netflix removing services from Xbox
Netflix posted a press release announcing the removal of its services from Xbox after a contract dispute.
In a press release posted late last night, Netflix announced that due to a contract dispute with Microsoft, the company is removing streaming services from the Xbox Live platforms by Friday, April 3 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
Netflix was alleged to have asked for a revenue that would have required Xbox Live Gold members to pay $5 more for a year-long membership.
Xbox refused and began negotiating, but talks broke down and Netflix has filed to remove its app from the Xbox Marketplace.
It was also reported that issues with the new Xbox One platform gave way to arguments over the usability of the app.
Basically, we’re all screwed and should probably just give up on life.
Outta here with that nonsense.
